For the twelfth consecutive year, the Office of the Commissioner for Children organized its annual children\u2019s rights live-in \u2018Rights 4U\u2019 with the support of the HSBC Malta Foundation. This live-in was held between the 4th<\/sup> and the 6th<\/sup> of August at Dar Manresa, Victoria, Gozo.<\/p>\n

The Hon. Minister for the Family and Social Solidarity, Dr Michael Farrugia, Ms Pauline Miceli, Commissioner for Children and a Representative from the HSBC Malta Foundation visited the participants.<\/p>\n

Four students from Maria Regina College Mosta Girls\u2019 Secondary School accepted the Office of the Commissioner for Children\u2019s call to attend this year\u2019s live-in, the joy of which is clearly visible in the photo.<\/p>\n

The Rights 4U live-ins consist of interactive programs which include various activities in which the young people not only learn about their Rights, but also actively explore and engage in discussions on their rights. The participants develop critical thinking skills, build social ties and implement concepts such as respect, responsibility and inclusion.<\/p>\n

The theme for this year\u2019s live-in was that of empowering young people to engage in healthy relationships with their peers. Various professionals will be carrying out interactive sessions addressing different aspect of relationships.<\/p>\n

The Commissioner for Children, Ms Pauline Miceli was present throughout the event in order to promote more dialogue and receive feedback from the young participants themselves.<\/p>\n\r\n\t
