As in the past two years, Schools at Maria Regina College joined other EU schools in the European School Sport Day (ESSD), an initiative aimed at promoting Physical Activity in schools. On the 28th September, students took part in 120 minutes of physical activity throughout the day.
Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Sports and Voluntary Organizations, Clifton Grima, visited Gharghur Primary and he thanked the schools for exposing their students to various physical activities which help them develop physical skills especially in agility, balance and coordination. He also encouraged children to participate in various sports activities. In fact he did join in the activities with students during the day.
