The Directorate for
Research, Lifelong Learning and Employability within the Ministry for Education
and Employment together with Maria Regina College inaugurated the Adult
Learning Room at MRC Naxxar Induction Hub on Thursday 19th September 2019.
At Maria Regina College, we are driven by the belief that
learning is a lifelong journey. As part of the Schools as Community Learning
Spaces Programme, the Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning and
Employability through the project EU Agenda for Adult Learning in Malta has
been working with primary schools to facilitate adult learning courses for
adults within the Community. Mr Portanier Mifsud, Head of School at MRC Naxxar
Induction Hub applied for such funds and through this project was able to
finance the transformation of a room within his school to serve as an Adult
Learning Room to be used by the community. Apart from the Adult Learning Room,
the project is also funding courses in English and Maltese to the school
community.
