MRC Symposium: A Community of Reflective Practitioners Presentations

On the 28th of April 2022, Maria Regina College organised a symposium which was introduced by the Permanent Secretary, Mr Matthew Vella. Mr Patrick Decelis, Head of College Network, gave the first presentation about the Vision and Plan of the college. This is his presentation:

Resources for a Multidisciplinary Approach

Ms Mary Rose Cordina, E.O. Curriculum, gave a presentation about three Resource packs which she created – A Multidisciplinary Approach: STEM and Literacy activities through stories. These packs are for Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 students and one can find various literacy, mathematics, science and technology activities which emerge from stories. They offer a creative way to develop children’s knowledge, skills and understanding while motivating them to learn through stimulating, interconnected topics.

Ms Michelle Zard, HoD Literacy and Ms Odette Schembri, HoD AfL, created two Maltese Resource Packs, one for Year 3 and another one for Year 4. They gave a presentation about these Resource packs and explained the idea behind them. Training will be given to MRC educators at the beginning of next scholastic year. This is their presentation.

A Positive Behaviour Policy

Mr Aaron Borg, Assistant Head at Mosta Secondary School Zokrija, gave a presentation about his Masters Research study – Developing a whole-school positive behaviour. This is his presentation.

Ms Jeanette Muscat, Year 6 teacher at Naxxar Primary school, gave a presentation about her Masters Research study – Malta National Benchmark: Analysis of the Maltese Language results in one of the Maltese colleges. This is her presentation.
