On Friday 29th January 2016, Mr Patrick Decelis, College Principal, made an official visit to Maria Regina College Girls’ Secondary School of Mosta.
Further to normal regular visits, the Principal intends to have a full day at each College School so that he can follow a normal day in the life of the particular school, so that he can get the feel of all synergies, challenges and strengths of the school.
The day began with an assembly for all students
and staff, which amongst other things celebrated the school’s multi-culturalism. Meetings included discussions with Head, Assistant Heads, Heads of Department, Minor and clerical staff. Another special meeting with the school staff was very enlightening since in a short period of time, some main issues were raised and discussed.
The day came to an end with a tour of the school premises, including the library which was pulsating with energy and an overwhelming number of students, science laboratories, Subject classrooms, and other classes during various lessons.
It was an exceptional daywhich gave a deeper insight into the school’s ethos, a school full of happy students and reflective practitioners with a classroom-exceeding perspective.
