Breakfast Club was launched in April 2014. Its aim is to welcome students whose parents / guardians work. They can bring their children to school between 7.00am and 8.30am. Breakfast Supervisors prepare healthy food, a clean environment and supervise children accordingly. It is very important to start the day with a healthy breakfast so that the children will be able to concentrate better on the day’s lessons. Among the food presented one finds low sugar cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, locally produced fruit yogurt and toast made with brown and white bread with cheese. Milk is the main daily drink while fresh orange juice and water is offered too. Children bring their own cutlery, plastic cups, plates and bowls and they are encouraged to wash and dry them after use. Hygiene and kitchen rules are given utmost importance.
When children finish their breakfast, they have a choice until time is up for assembly. Some choose to play educational board games, some prefer to watch short educational clips/ videos, while others prefer to listen and participate in reading short stories. Sometimes we also do crafts. They all interact and have fun.
All children are well looked after in a warm environment and they all attend Breakfast Club enthusiastically.
