Anti- Bullying Week at Mosta Primary B

Monday 11th April was a very special day at our school since it marked the launching of Anti Bullying week, highlighting a whole week of activities aimed at working together and supporting friendship.  This week was launched during a special assembly attended by our College Principal, Mr P Decelis.

Class 4.1 presented a short play ‘The Ugly Duckling’ to emphasize the values of tolerance and respect.  A Year 5 pupil, Elisa Dingli, recited the poem ‘Hey Bully!’ that she herself wrote.  Wrist bands with an anti-bullying message were distributed to all pupils and staff. Another assembly focusing on the effects of bullying was presented by class 5.2.

The Cyber Crime Unit also gave a valid contribution by delivering talks to all pupils, whereby Inspector Salamone gave a Powerpoint presentation to all Year groups and answered queries from the pupils. Then on Thursday all school members participated in teambuilding games wearing their wristband and blue shirt to support anti bullying.

Our Year 6 classes held the closing ceremony on Friday by interpreting the song ‘Hopeful’.  Certificates were distributed to all classes and an information leaflet was given to all parents.
